Welcome to Advocacy in Motion. My name is Kings Floyd, and I'm the Youth Transition Fellow from 2016-2017. My goal was to create a blog post every week since the start of my fellowship. As you can see, I'm a tad late in starting that endeavor, but I'm hoping to make up for that in the coming months.
As the new year begins my new goals include keeping everyone (by everyone I mean you) informed on the progress, the struggles and the joys of being the YTF. Other goals include being more organized, finding a next step in my path, but also helping to create a wider net of resources and curriculum, and therefor success, for the youth I help serve both directly and indirectly.
The blog will include pictures from events (past, present, and future) as well as links and resources I have found useful and want to share with you. While I won't call out anyone without their permission, I'll also give shout-outs to particularly incredible people who have boosted me up that week, suggesting solutions to tricky problems or taking a leadership role when other members of the team are lost.
